Gender on the agenda!

The past two years or so, I have been fortunate to work with some cracking scholars and partners to develop thoughts on specific aspects of gender and sport. This blog post spotlights two recent publications from this larger body of work. A huge thank you to my collaborators! If you do not have access to any of these pieces, then please email/DM me and we can see what is possible.

Who better to explain what this chapter is about than Claire and I, please enjoy this short Twitter video…

The world cup trilogy: an analysis of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leverage strategies for the women’s cricket, rugby, and football world cups

In this article, we utilise the quite extraordinary context New Zealand finds itself in, where they are hosting 3 x Women’s World Cup tournaments in a matter of months… but who will benefit?

Gender is certainly on the agenda in both of these pieces, in particular, the presence and governance of (and by) women in different sporting and academic contexts.

Have a read and get involved, we are always looking for more voices and thoughts on all things gender!
